Roger Saves the Day Again

by my friend paul

It all began in Roger's Brain.

One day, Roger walked into our office demanding we hear him out.

"Dammit!" he said, "How many songs have you written?"

"uhhhh" We had to think for a minute.

"Answer me, dammit!"

"Around 200?" we asked ourselves. "Yeah, 200 sounds about right" we decided.

"And how many are any good?" Roger inquired.

"About 32" we decided.

"Is that enough to make a record?" Roger asked.

"Almost. Most of them are about eleven minutes long but only have about 45 seconds worth of song in them."

"Perfect!" Roger exclaimed after a moment's thought. "You're going to put out a record!"

"But nobody will like our music! We're just a couple of dorks! How will we get a big fancy recording contract?!" we whined.

"No matter! You'll start your own record label and release it yourself!" Roger exclaimed.

"But, we don't have any money!" we cried.

"A minor inconvenience." Roger said as he waved his hand as if to swat a fly. "I'll spot you the funds with only one small request."

"But what about our friends? They make good music, too! Can they be on our label too?" we pleaded.

"We'll see about that. Stick with me, and anything's possible."

Way to go, Roger!
